In order to include sample data with the EdGCM install

  • make ncdf files smaller (fewer vars)
  • supply only a few time series and zonal averages
  • include 2 vectorizable vars
  • include similar vars in ij and jl files.

Simplify yet again.... Fewer vars so that the download is small. Say... 3 per file?

I'd like to see the ij and jl files match a bit, so both should have temperature, and then perhaps cloud cover too? Maybe one more that doesn't match.
