Troubleshooting

If you're having trouble with EVA, please give the following a try:

1) Upgrade to the newest EVA release

The newest release of EVA may already include a fix for your issue!

2) Have you installed EVA properly?

The best way to install EVA is via the EdGCM installer. Manual installation is possible but is riskier.

3) Remove any duplicate copies

A second copy of EVA might be the source of your issue. Make sure you only have one EVA installed on your computer.

4) Trash your preferences

The preferences file might be corrupt. Delete it. It is located in the following place:

  • Mac: /Users/username/Library/Preferences/edu.columbia.edgcm.eva.prefs.plist
  • Win: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\edu.columbia.edgcm.eva.prefs.plist

If the problem persists, you have probably found a bug (EVA has bugs). Follow the bug reporting guidlines to let us know.
